For the 16th season of the Champions League Atalanta welcomes Valencia. Double fights, followed by rematch in Spain. Goal in goal.
Although leading the competition, Atalanta managed to qualify for the knockout of the event by finishing 2nd in the group behind Manchester City. He even achieved a small feat as he finished the first round with 3 defeats in a draw, but in the second round he scored 7 points which was enough for him to qualify. At the same time, it is doing well in the Italian Championship and is claiming its re-entry into the forthcoming Champions League as it is in 24th place with 4 points after 45 matches. On Saturday, Bergamo had a great 2-1 win over Roma despite a back-to-back half-time lead.
Valencia made a big surprise in the group stage and with Chelsea and Ajax they managed to finish first and impressively qualify for the next stage of the competition. Even more striking is the fact that in the last match of the group he won the Netherlands over Ajax leaving out the finalist of the competition last year. At home he fights hard to take the top four in the standings as after 1 games he is in 24th place with 7 points and minus 38 from 2th Atletico, a team he faced in his last match in which he was drawn 4 -2.
On the one hand the leader in the competition but in good condition Atalanta and on the other the experienced but absent Valencia. Match that can go anywhere as the odds do not show the difficulty of the match, but the fact that Atalanta is always scoring everywhere but defensively is quite vulnerable leading us to bet on many goals.
