For the 26th matchday of the Spanish La Liga, Barcelona welcomes Real Madrid to the Camp Nou.
Even though it was difficult, Barcelona won the previous game against Athletic in Bilbao with 1-0. He didn't get a great performance, he was lucky to score a little before the break in one of the few phases he created offensively while in general he received a lot of pressure from the home team but with an ally and luck he kept a clean sheet.
So he took a great double on a difficult court and took another step towards the title as it has long remained at the top of the standings with 65 points and kept plus 9 from 2nd Real Madrid.
Back to winning ways for Real in the league, after two consecutive draws, as well last week they beat Espanyol Madrid 3-1. He was behind in the score from the first quarter but reacted quickly and scoring two goals went to the locker room in front of the score. In the replay, without being particularly threatened, he succeeded in the final and third goal and shaped the final result.
With this victory, Real reached 56 points remaining in the hunt for the first Barcelona in the battle for the title.
Real midweek also prevailed in the replay for the round of 16 of Liverpool's Champions League at home with 1-0 and solemnly qualified for the quarter-finals of the competition where he will face Chelsea.
It is the biggest derby in Europe that can also decide this year's title of the Spanish league. With a win, Barca clarifies the situation, clearly the draw also helps them, unlike Real, who will only continue to hope with a win, although again the chances will be with the Catalans. I expect Real's need for victory to set a fast pace in the match with many phases and goals.
Tip: Barcelona - Real Madrid GG & Over 2,5 goals with odds 2.30
