Chelsea - Southampton

For the 24th matchday of the English Premier League, Chelsea welcomes Southampton.

For another match recently Chelsea couldn't win away from home, the previous matchday was tied 1-1 at the home of West Ham. It was all decided in the first half, with Graham Potter's side opening the scoring after the first quarter of the match but minutes later conceding an equaliser. In the rest of the match both tried for the second goal but to no avail.
This was the 3rd consecutive draw for Chelsea in the league and now every matchday the goal to participate in the European cups of the new year becomes more difficult as is in 10th place with 31 points.
Last Wednesday, the London team was defeated in Germany by Dortmund 1-0 for the first match of the round of 16 of the Champions League. Despite her very good performance, she could not avoid defeat paying for her failure in the many and big opportunities she missed. It will be followed by a repeat at the beginning of March at its headquarters.

Bitter defeat for Southampton last week 2-1 at home to Wolves. In the first half everything was perfect for her as she went into the break in front of the score and her opponent had a numerical disadvantage. So Southampton remains at the bottom of the standings with 15 points, at minus 4 from staying in the category, showing that he is looking for the breakthrough to play in the Premier League next year as well.

Chelsea are missing the treble for 3 matches but I think the results do them an injustice based on their performance and the quality of their roster. An ideal opponent for a return to winning ways can't be found since last-placed Southampton. I think that the home team can get a comfortable victory with a combination of many goals.
