Football revolution in Cuba since, for the first time, the regime allows foreign players to play for the country's national team. Norwich's Onel Hernandez, Tre Fiori's Joel Aztegguia and Secunda II's Gavafé, all European immigrant children, played in the match against Guatemala, where Cuba, after a good performance lost hard with 1-0, playing for a long time with ten players.
Of course we are not talking about a transformation overnight, but we certainly can not consider the Cubans a boxing bag. The match takes place in Guatemala with a referee from El Salvador, and that may be important. The qualification (only the first of the group passes) will be played between Guatemala and Curacao with these two teams playing the last match. Obviously the hosts have good reasons to support Cuba to cut points from their main competitor.
Guy Higgins's Curacao easily beat Saint Vincent 5-0 in the first match of the group, but against the newly formed Cuba they may find it a little more difficult.
