Belgian Bath in Spa-Francorchamps ...

from / FORMULA1 / Thursday, 26 August 2010 11: 00

Three weeks have passed for Formula1 and next Friday there is a fight at the Belgian Grand Prix. With its great straights, unpredictable weather and a great variety of technical revolutions, the Spa-Francorchamps circuit is one of the toughest of the championship but also our favorite of pilots.

Here we have some of the views of the Formula 1 Formula One champions ...

O Felipe Massa, ο pilot of Ferrari, said: "Although this year's vacation was quiet, I'm ready for the weekend in Belgium as I was in constant contact with my engineers who also had a vacation. So we did not lose touch. New things are coming to F10 that we will be running at the weekend and I'm really happy about that. I like this track very much, not only because I won the 2008, but because I think it's fantastic to offer pilots, high speeds and speed management. In the last races we are terribly competitive, and perhaps more than we would expect. Although it is unlikely to predict the outcome of the race as the pioneering teams are very close to one another, we hope to have the best testing arrangements and be a little bit more lucky than the others in the race.

There are only seven matches left to the end of the championship and I imagine our viewers and friends enjoy a really impressive finale. At least in Belgium it will probably be rainy ...

Ο Robert Kubica, of Renault, he said for the track: "The Spa is different from the other tracks, because although we use arrangements for better grip in the turns, the track offers straight for very high speeds ... And you find the balances now to get the car ... In general this Belgian quirk is causing surprises in the results. This weekend we will implement the new F-duct technique, hoping to work efficiently and help us with a good result. Our airfoils will be adjusted to keep them low, but we need big finishes as we are always at the top of the Spa circuit ... I hope we can combine good exits with entrances and since the width of the track is great, we play a lot with choosing the most suitable lines for that. I am sure we will be able to keep our friends over with our overtakes .. "

Ο Mark WebberOf Red Bull, although he did not go very well last year, this year he is much more optimistic about the outcome of the race. In those of the holidays, he simply stayed away from airplanes and hotels, to be disengaged from a couple of consecutive trips. He is crazy about the Belgian track and hopes to offer a match similar to Budapest ....

Ο Sebastian Vettel, of Red Bull, last year at the Belgian Grand Prix, took advantage of his vacation to make more intensive workouts and said, "I love Spa, it has the best turns in the championship, great high-speed and definitely fit in our car. The only point we consider to be weak is the big straights, but I am very optimistic ... "

Ο Rubens BarrichelloOf Williams said: "The Spa is a terrific track, I have won my first pole, but also the podium in smaller categories and I expect that and how to run in Belgium. It will be an impressive race since its requirements are very high, just remember La Turn and Eau Rouge. I am very happy because with this fight I am filling my 300 in Formula ... "

Ο Nico Rosberg, of Mercedes GöteborgsPosten – the local newspaper Rested from the short break of three weeks he is excited to run to Belgium. He is crazy about the turn of Eau Rouge, of course, and states that during the holidays the factory did not stop working to improve the cars, so that they do better than in Hungary.

The same is what he thinks Michael Schumacher, the other pilot of Mercedes GP
"Spa has always been my favorite track, and I'm just waiting for it and how to ride there, although I have the grid penalty, it's going to be hard to expect miracles, I'll try to do the best."

So one can conclude how impressed are our pilots to run in Belgium that do not give much predictable predictions. Nevertheless, we believe in Webber and Vettel, with Felippe Massa always capable of the unexpected ...
