In doing some calculations, I see the following:
As the government moves forward, the regulation is expected to be completed by November.
It will then be sent to Brussels. It will take 2 months for the regulation to be approved by the Commission so we'll get to 2020 at best in January. If it is not approved it will be returned with comments then it will definitely take another two to two months, so at worst it can go until March.
Subsequently companies that are interested in obtaining a license will apply to EEEP but I do not know how long it will take for each application to be approved.
But we have the Euro2020 in the summer and of course the companies will want to be ready for this event. They do not have time even on the same day to get a license ... so any delay by the EEEP will be to the detriment of the market. With this in mind, I estimate that the EEEP will come up with a very fast timetable for the approval of licenses. It is excluded to take more than a month until the completion of the transitional stage from temporary licenses to permanent ones of 24 + OPAP. New entrants may be late ... but it is up to them to be ready for approval immediately. There is time to be ready.
So I conclude that April 2020 we will live that too ... the permanent gaming environment.
