Gambling is a favorite habit of Greeks throughout the year, but the days of celebrations have its honor. Gambling on holiday days is now customary, as in theory one's fate reflects the fate of the new year.

The culmination of the custom traditionally comes on New Year's Eve. Some in a friendly house, others in a casino, others on the internet - most of us will try our luck somewhere (more or less) for the "good of time" ...

The two games that break this night every year are blackjack (and the Greek version of most of us know as 21) and poker (poker). So who better is to give us his lights and advise on how to put and chase our luck better so that the new year finds us winners at the New Year's Table by the Greek blackjack legend and professional poker player John Taramas?

After years of casino visits (as well as legal disputes with them from the moment and then declared him "undesirable"), Taramas has now turned to the internet where he is an ambassador of InCasino.gr and a member of Poker.gr's professional team. (when he is not absent, you can find him almost every night at Poker.gr's tables and watch or even play with him).

The conversation with the most recognizable professional Greek cartoonist could only start with the game, which turned out to be the blackjack. So we asked him to share with us the basic rules that must always be in mind before sitting at a table to play blackjack or 21.

Basic Blackjack Strategy

1. In blackjack, when the mother has small cards (2-3-4-5-6), mathematically it is best for the player to stop even at 12 (ie not to risk "burning" because there are enough - comparatively- the chances of the mother burning).

* Exclusion to rule 1: When the player has 12 (and 13, two or three cards) and the player has 2 or 3, the player must ask for an extra card.

2. When the mother has 7 or more (the so-called "big cards") and the 2 cards of the player reach up to 16 in total, he MUST draw a card (at 17 the player stops) because in the long run he will be the winner.

* In the "home" 21 where not all the cards are dealt (and we do not see the mother card as in blackjack in the casino), the player is not harmed if he asks for a card even at 17 because if the mother has 17 then he loses the player (while bets are returned to the casino). Also at 16 the player should almost always get a card - unless he thinks he can "bluff" the player who is a mother and make him take a risk and burn himself.

3. When the mother has the so-called "small cards" (4-5-6) the player wins if he doubles to 9-10-11 (sum of 2 cards).

* Double is the ability given to the blackjack player to double his bet, but only pulling one more card (ie if someone doubles with a 10 sum and pulls 3, then he can not pull another card).

4. When the player's two cards add up to 10 or 11, and the mother has a card of 8 and below, the player must double so that he can win in the long run.

5. The player also comes out winning in the long run if the two cards he holds are eg A and 7 and the 9 + mother is asking for an extra card

General Blackjack Tips

According to John Taramas, it is good when one wants to play for a long time and come out winning 10 casinos of 100 units (where each player decides how much each unit has for each unit - eg 1, 5, 10 or above). Every day a stack of 100 units must be played. When it reaches 50% profit, ie 150 units, then the goal of that day is reached and the player must stop playing.

In addition, John has urged us not to forget to write that as in all activities involving financial transactions, so in Blackjack, bankroll management or the management of our cellar is the most important rule we should not violate never.

We always play with a certain amount. This amount must be part of our surplus, which, even if it is lost, is such that it will in no way endanger our personal, family, social, economic or professional peace.

A player who plays bigger amounts not only endangers but also has a much greater chance of losing because of the greater anxiety with which he will play and the wrong decisions / choices that will almost certainly lead him.

Poker Tips

John Taramas has been playing poker intensively since 4 for almost a year. But he still characterizes himself as a student in this game, although his results have progressed steadily in this time and they are also winning him in this game.

As he explains, "Poker is a much more complex game than blackjack and needs constant improvement no matter how experienced a player is. It would be very difficult to give a few lines of advice on how one can improve one's poker performance. a lot of reading and practice to reach a high level of play ".

Of course, poker has a very important table in which one plays - that is, his opponents. A good player has little chance of playing against very good players. Likewise, a modest player can prove to be very strong if his opponents are low. So be careful with who you are playing and (always) how much you play.

For those who want to read and learn more, John Taramas unreservedly recommends studying Poker Pro articles. This is a series of 70 articles that start from the most basic points of the game and end up with specialized concepts and strategies.

Drawing on a few of these articles in the last few days, it is true that we learned a lot of useful things about poker. However, because 70 articles are definitely too, we have picked out two of those on the so-called "poker tells" (expressions and body language testified by the players' card at a table) that we found really enjoyable.

We cite them in the hope of proving effective and our friends spend us on mentalists (!) In the game that we will set up a little after the change of time.

1. One of the biggest "traitors" of a player's sheet is the direction of his look in the various phases of the game.

When the player has something good and willing to bet it loud, as soon as he sees his card he will look at his chips. The reason is that he wants to think about how much his stake will be, and how he can make the most out of this hand. When you see a player behaving like this, observe him until the end of the game to see how he bets when he has a good hand.

When you are faced with a player who has just seen his card begin to look at his chips, think seriously the fold if your hand is not one of the top possible. If you decide to enter the game with him, observe his behavior very carefully taking into account the following items.

If your opponent, immediately after opening a new common card, looks to the table unrelated to the table, he is most likely to have a very good card. This reaction is automatic for someone who does not want to betray his satisfaction for the card he faces in front of him. In an attempt to deceive his opponents, he tries to show weakness and lack of interest in his hand.

If, however, after a strong stake of your opponent, you notice him stared at you and look aggressive in the way he throws the chips, he is likely to bluff. Wanting to reinforce his bluff, he tries to scare you using his body language and scare you. Think of it, is it ever possible, if he was sure of his hand, to punch in a way that scares his opponents?

Or would he just think he would make the most profit by trying to show a frightened bet rather loose? Of course the second. So do not be afraid when you notice the intention to scare you, show loyalty to your relatively loud hands and see the bet. A re-raise is useless at this point and there is no chance of gaining extra profit, because very simply, your opponent will only see it if he has a top card, otherwise he will fold.

2. Posture. Watch out for the language of your opponents' body. When the card is interesting, they lean a little forward and their interest in the game is increased. If you notice a change in an opponent's attitude while opening a common card, it usually indicates the player's interest in the new bet.

3. Common Betting Patterns. Most players are not very creative in their betting, so they play in exactly the same way every time they have a certain good hand. With a little observation, we can discern many such "habits" of our opponents and use them against them.

4. When a player looks at the cards he has just opened and immediately looks at his chips, he has something good. It's a reflective reaction and you have to trust it unless you play with highly experienced players.

5. If you are going to bet on a medium card, one of the players who "speaks" after you shows a pretentious ignorance of the lot, get ready to accept re-raise.

6. Fast calls usually mean weakness, but also a willingness to continue calling until the end. The player who does it is likely to have lost his temper, or to believe he is bluffing.

7. Many times (and always depending on the style of each player), the player who has a good hand does not throw his chips into the pot, but pushes them slowly. As if he does not want to scare his opponents.

8. Observe the way the players arrange their chips. If they are "unsettled," they are most likely to match this style to their game: aggressive style with many bluffs. If the chips are arranged in straight stakes by value, then this player is rather tight and cautious in his stakes.

9. If you have the option of sitting at the table where you sit and do not know any player, choose to sit next to the player with the most money. This increases the chances of winning big pots. If you know the players, choose the position after your most aggressive opponent. By "talking" after the attacking player, you have the opportunity to win big pots when you have a good hand or to save some misplaced bets with good folds. In both cases, you maximize the advantage of the position in the betting order.

10. Attention! There are cases where the exact same behavior by the same player can mean different things, depending on the situation in which he appears. Example: the player who "catches" a very good card, gets something like an anchor the moment he realizes the strength of his card. It stays still for a few seconds. The exact same "abrupt immobility" can be shown by a player who has bet by bluffing, is convinced that his bluff will catch, but suddenly sees an opponent getting ready to call.

11. For the end I have kept a little trick. I will describe a situation where, if you play poker often, you will certainly find yourself many times:

The batch is one step before it is completed and in the last betting round, your opponent bets you loud. You are getting a decent card, relatively strong, but there are possible cards that win you. You suspect that your opponent may be bluffing, but you are not sure at all. How are you? ....

Answer: You pick up your chips and start pretending to count them to bet. But your gaze remains nailed to your opponent by recording his every move. If you notice a sudden change in your attitude as soon as you see your hand in your chips, such as suddenly stopping some nervous movement or abrupt look at your chips, consider it as fear and strengthen your view that it bluffs.

You basically make betting and you notice how your opponent reacts to this possibility. There is even a chance to even reveal his full sheet, from his scare alone, before you even announce your move! Try it and you will be impressed with the result.

Good luck wherever you try your luck and Good Year!

Fenerbahce wanted to postpone the April 7 derby with Galatasaray for the Turkish Super Cup at the mercy of...Olympiakos, but its specific request was not accepted by the country's football federation.
  • PANATHA PANATHA:
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) informed both clubs that
this has to do with there being no alternative date due to the teams' busy schedule.
  • Ertzan Ertzan:
I was going to write it in the morning but it didn't come from the mobile phone. The non-religious, as was normal, said that they would not accept the postponement of the match. Our team applied for a postponement and from what I read, they said that the match should be held at the end of the championship, but the Federation, which has poured itself on it and still has to make the decision on the "penalties", did not accept it.

A few days before the Fenerbahce meeting, the meeting that Hugh Dallas had with the referees and the talks about the Galatasara-Antalyaspor match came to the fore, where the VAR referee admits that he made a mistake in the penalty that the Galatasaray player took, where in fact he said that the player "dive" in the small contact he had that was not for a penalty. Our President also spoke about this phase where he said what was happening and the Federation found him a liar, nice things
