We have a bunch of independent authorities.
EEEP, EETT and many and various others.
I wonder if what they are doing is justifying their mission or not.
Take the EEEP for example.
Why should it be "independent" and not be a service of a ministry, with the same statute-objectives, etc. as now?
Does anyone seriously believe that they are where they are to fight big business and even the state (if necessary)?
The opposite happens and they are even uncontrollable.
As a government-supervised agency it would be better in my opinion.
E.g. the EEEP in Finance or Sports, the EETT in Communications and Transport.
The citizen would have the exact same luck as now to be vindicated plus the possibility to politicize his issue, because the official opposition e.g. he may have a different opinion.
I think we've been fooled.
