PAOK and Xanthi's expulsion from the championship was decided by the ESA at its meeting on Monday (27/1) that ended on the occasion of Olympiacos' complaint.
The suggestion-bomb of the Professional Sport Committee was voted 3-2 and accordingly, it was decided to revoke the bicep certificate for the multi-ownership case and the acronym for its shareholder list.
Given that the ESA's contributions are usually binding, since this is a government committee that is essentially examining and issuing certificates of participation, like the EPO Licensing Committee, the championship is in the air.
It is recalled that a few days ago the EPO Licensing Committee imposed a heavy fine on Xanthi when it examined its case.
However, the final decision will be made by the Super League Primary Discipline. There will be follow-up to the PAOK and Xanthi series, with developments and reactions expected.
This is a finding of the ESA's audit, which will be forwarded to the competent committee, that is, the Super League sports judge who will be called upon to either certify or revoke the (binding) decision of the Professional Sports Committee.
It is worth noting that the vote on the violations found was 4-1, while the penalty was 3-2, which means there was a "derby".
Undersecretary of Sports, Lefteris Avgenakis, said via his Twitter account:
