Four new units of Center for the Treatment of Dependent Persons (KETHEA) operate from the mid-September in Attica, to cover a wide range of addictions needs in the country's most populous region.

The units are included in the Operational Program "Attica 2014-2020" Mrare co-financed by the European Social Fund. With the Attica units, 36 of the 37 total new structures throughout the country for different forms of dependence and target groups that were foreseen by the planning of KETHEA in the context of the NSRF 2014-2020 are now in operation.
The action of the new Units
Η Unit for People with Psychiatric Comorbidities in Athens is aimed at people who face a mental health problem and addiction to legal and illegal substances at the same time. The goal is the timely and simultaneous treatment of the two disorders, in the context of a holistic therapeutic intervention that creates conditions for social and work integration.
Η Direct Access and Support Unit with Mobile Unit Services in Athens, Greece aims at the multifaceted care of the most marginalized dependent people, with a direct access shelter for addicts and a mobile unit for excursions to the squares. It will also carry out interventions in Reception Centers and refugee hostels.
Η De-Addiction Unit from "Legal" Addictions in Piraeus, with a branch in Elefsina, offers a flexible external monitoring program to people with alcohol, gambling or internet/gaming addiction problems. It also supports the close environment of those directly interested.
The Social Integration Program in Piraeus strengthens the integration into society and the labor market of people who complete a drug addiction program, offering legal support, counseling on business activity, reconnection actions with the educational system, vocational guidance and counseling, initial training in a number of modern fields, etc.
