Barcelona's Spanish international defender Carlos Puyol will be out of action for more than six weeks after suffering a serious injury to his cheekbone during yesterday's match against Levante for the Spanish Cup.
Puyol, who was replaced in the 81st minute of the match, after a clash with Levante striker Edwin Congo, underwent x-rays today and according to the medical team of the Spanish club, the player's recovery will take 4-6 weeks. In fact, when he returns to the stadiums, he will be obliged for a period of time to wear a protective mask, in order to avoid any possible recurrence.
