In its announcement, EPO has announced that 15-19 April 2019 will be organized at the Federation's premises in the first VAR seminar.
The seminar, which begins today and ends on Friday, aims to bring Greek referees closer to the Video Assistant Referee.
In detail, the EPO's announcement:
The first Video Assistant Referee of First Class Arbitration Officers is hosted by the Central Committee of Arbitration at the 15 19 to 2019 April XNUMX at the Federation premises.
The objectives of the seminar are:
- The presentation of the technological equipment
- Acquiring familiarity with the operation of the simulator and other equipment.
- Updating new directions on the VAR Use Protocol.
- Exercise with an emulator.
- Practice with online VAR exercises on the field.
In the context of the imminent implementation of the Video Assistant Referee, it takes considerable time to train VAR referees and assistants to ensure effective use of the system, especially in complex or key rounds of matches where arbitration officials will be called under pressure to review these cases.
Achieving a high level of precision to determine whether a decision will be reviewed and minimizing the time needed for this review without affecting accuracy is the most important issue of this training.
