I will try to make a brief presentation of some European championships, mainly Russian, German, Czech, Finnish, Slovak, Swedish and Norwegian. Maybe some friends are interested in information about this sport, which has a lot of betting interest and plenty of choices, especially during the regular season and play-offs.
The start will be from the German championship (DEL- DEUTSCHE EISHOCKEY LIGA) from which 2 teams (due to debts) were eliminated this year, one of which came in line with the league and will probably return time (if it is financially possible) and the other will probably play 4 Budeslinga local category). The groups are:Kassel Huskies and Lions Frankfurt (respectively)

The groups involved are (in parentheses their titles):

1. EHC Munich
2. Iserlohn Roosters
3. Adler Mannheim
(1997-99, 2001, 2007)
4. Augsburger Panther
5. DEG Metro Stars
6. ERC Ingolstadt
7. Eisbären Berlin
(2006, 2008-09)
8. Krefeld Pinguine (2003)
9. Kölner Haie (1995, 2002)
10. Straubing Tigers
11. Thomas Sabo Ice Tigers
13. Hamburg Freezers
(former München Barons 2010)
12. Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg
14. Hannover Scorpions

The DEL championship has taken its current form 1994-95.

DEL is a closed liga, so there is no downgrading.

The Eisbären Berlin and the Hannover Scorpions champion were the regular season.

Re: Hockey - European Championships

Η Kontinental Hockey League (in Russian: Континентальная хоккейная лига, Kontinentalnaya Hokkeinaya Liga) (KHL) is an international professional league based on Eurasia, created by 2008 from the Russian Superleague. The championship includes teams from five countries: Belarus, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Russia and Ukraine. The overwhelming majority of teams (20) rely on Russia, while each of the other four countries has a team.
It is a closed League and there is no down-and-down system.
It is divided into 2 conferences and each of them into 2 divisions. The two conferences are "East"- ¨West"and the 4 divisions have been named after Russian / Soviet hockey legend players. In" Anatoli "are:"Kharlamov Division "and"Chernyshev Division "and in" Disi "the:"Bobrov Division "and"Tarasov Division ".
Each team gives 4 matches with teams of the same division and 2 with the rest. The first 16 teams go into the play-off. The first round is made with the best-of-five system (in five games) and the rest of 7 games.
In the summer there were many upgrades (and some scandals) and the championship will take place with the participation of 23 teams after Lada Togliati, replaced by Yukgra Khanty-Maniysk, and the merger of Dynamo Moskas and MVD. So the championship will be in 52 racing, tailored to these facts.
The previous two championships have won AK Bars Kazan while the same years in the normal period first ended Salavat Ufa Yulaev.
The play-off final is always on April 12, an anniversary of the first flight in space by Yuri Gagarin. The prize is called Gagarin Cup. The champion of the regular season conquers it Continental Cup. Also the first game always starts with the previous champion and the winner of the game conquers the Open Cup.

The teams that are participating this year are (by conference and division):

Bobrov Division
UHC Dynamo
CSKA Moscow
Spartak Moscow
SKA Saint Petersburg
Dinamo Riga
Dynamo Minsk
Tarasov Division
Lokomotiv Yaroslav
Atlantis Mytischi
Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod
Severstal Cherepovets
Vityaz Chekhov
Kharlamov Division
AK Bars Kazan
Metallurg Magnitogorsk
Tractor Chelyabinsk
Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk
Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk
Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg
Chernyshev Division
Avangard Omsk
Salave Yulaev Ufa
Barys Astana
Sibir Novosibirsk
Amur Khabarovs
Metallurg Novokuznetsk

Answer: Hockey - European Championships

I continue the thread that aprositos opened a year ago with a brief presentation of the situation in the most important European Ice Hockey Championships ...

Starting with the rating in Austria

UPDATED...
EBEL Austria (E
grows Bank Eishockey Liga)

1. Red Bull Salzburg 51
2. Liwest Linz 45
3. Vienna Capitals 42
4. Orli Znojmo (Czech Republic) 39
5. Fehervar AV19 (Hungary) 39
6. EC Villacher 39
7. Bolzano (Italy) 36
8. Graz 99ers 34
9. Klagenfurt 32
10. TWK Innsbruck 31
11. Dornbirner 30
12. Olimpija Ljubljana (Slovenia) 24

As we see the Austrian Championship hosts groups from neighboring countries, with the result that the trips are difficult for all teams. 3 Austrian teams are leading, followed by the Hungarian Fehervar and the Czech Znojmo. The only thing he has managed to escape is Salzburg. All others boil in the same cauldron, and Olympia can even take part in the play offs with a number of positive results.

DEL Germany
(DeutscheEishockey Liga)
1. Adler Mannheim 79
2. Hamburg Freezers 67
3. Red Bull Munich 66
4. ERC Ingolstadt 59
5. Iserlohn Roosters 59
6. Eisbaren Berlin 56
7. Dusseldorf EG Metro Stars 54
8. Grizzly Wolfsburg 53
9. Kolner Haie 52
10. Krefeld Pinguine 47
11. Nurnberg Ice Tigers 46
12. Augsburger Panther 38
13. Schwenninger 28
14. Straubing Tigers 24

Two teams above have the German Championship from the Austrian but the last 2 teams have lost the train for a long time. Adler Mannheim greets everyone from far away and the rest of the teams until 8 will try to continue without loss until the play offs. Koelia, Nuremberg and Krefeld will try for the best, as these 3 teams are able to climb and jump on 8 (with the best conditions, of course, it's not easy).

Metall Ligaen Denmark

1. Odense Bulldogs 50
2. Herning Blue Fox 46
3. Sonderjyske 44
4. Frederikshavn 40
5. Esbjerg 39
6. Rungsted 32
7. Rodovre Mighty Bulls 31
8. Aarlborg 28
9. Herlev Eagles 22
10. Gentofte Stars 16

In Denmark, things are more dramatic. 2 champions have given 22 matches, while the Bulldogs may fall short of 2 points but have fewer 2 matches, so with positive results they will go ahead. Now everyone else is on terms, while Gentofte is already out and Herlev longs to do it.

NLA Switzerland (National League A)
1. Bern 71
2 Zurich 70
3. Davos 69
4. Zug 60
5. Lugano 60
6. Servette 52
7. Lausanne 50
8. Biel 43
9. Kloten Flyers 38
10. Ambri-Piotta 36
11. Friborg 36
12. Rapperswill 24

In Switzerland we have a multi-speed championship. Initially, the 3 first teams are fighting in their own race, then other 3-4 teams are far enough away from the first but also from below. Other 4 teams in their own battle for a place in the play offs and Rapperswill, who looks at everyone from far away, to the bottom of the scoring.

6. Valerenga 45
7. Lillehammer 38
8. Stjernen 35
9. Manglerud 11
10. Kongsvinger 7

Let's start from the end, where the last 2 teams are doomed. So I think it will be a bag of boxing for many others that will burn for victories. From 2 to 6, I think it will be all the davadouri in the rest of the races, so we will focus there.

KHL Russia
(Κontinental Hockey League)
In Russia, the most complex ice hockey championship in Europe is held. Basically, what they are trying to do is something similar to the NHL of the American continent. The idea started to be implemented by 2008 and now 28 teams are participating in 2 regions, East and West. Each region consists of 2 groups. The eastern region has the Kharlamov Division and the Chernychev Division, while the western region is made up of the Bobrov Division and the Tarasov Division. The Borbov Division is also struggling outside Russia, with the logic of expanding the League to the rest of Europe.

Borbov Division

1. Jokerit (Finland) 89
2. SKA St.Petersburg (Russia) 87
3. Dinamo Minsk (Belarus) 71
4. Atlant Mytishi (Russia) 54
5. Slovan Bratislava (Slovakia) 52
6. Dinamo Riga (Latvia) 50
7. Medvescak Zagreb (Croatia) 46

Tarasov Division
1. CSKA Moscow 98
2. Dynamo Moscow 82
3. Lokomotiv Yaroslavl 66
4. Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod 62
5. HC Sochi 57
6. HC Vityaz Podolsk 56
7. Severstal Cherepovets 54

Kharlamov Division
1. AK Bars Kazan 90
2. Metallurg Magnitogorsk 84
3. Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg 51
4. Tractor Chelyabinsk 50
5. HC Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk 47
6. Lada Togliatti 43
7. Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk 39

Chernychev Division
1. Avangard Omsk 83
2. Sibir Novosibirsk 76
3. Salave Yulaev Ufa 63
4. Barys Astana 60
5. Admiral Vladivostok 47
6. Metallurg Novokuznetsk 36
7. Amur Khabarovsk 35

These are the 4 categories of KHL. In the 1st category, teams from the rest of Europe (from Slovakia, Croatia, Finland, Latvia and Belarus) and 2 teams from European Russia, from St. Petersburg and Mitisi, are competing. In the 2nd category, teams from the Moscow region and "surroundings" compete. These 2 categories-groups constitute the western region.
At 3 we find groups from Asian Russia but close to the border with Europe, west of Kazakhstan (Kazan, Magnitogorsk, Togliatti) and in the last category all the groups are located in the depths of Asian Russia, to the far Vladivostok. With 2 these categories are filled in the eastern region.

West Region

1. CSKA Moscow 98
2. Jokerit (Finland) 89
3. SKA St.Petersburg 87
4. Dynamo Moscow 82
5. Dinamo Minsk (Belarus) 71
6. Lokomotiv Yaroslavl 66
7. Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod 62
8. HC Sochi 57
9. HC Vityaz Podolsk 56
10. Atlant Mytishi 54
11. Severstal Cherepovets 54
12. Slovan Bratislava (Slovakia) 52
13. Dinamo Riga (Latvia) 50
14. Medvescak Zagreb (Croatia) 46

Eastern Region
1. AK Bars Kazan 90
2. Metallurg Magnitogorsk 84
3. Avangard Omsk 83
4. Sibir Novosibirsk 76
5. Salave Yulaev Ufa 63
6. Barys Astana 60
7. Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg 51
8. Tractor Chelyabinsk 50
9. Admiral Vladivostok 47
10. HC Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk 47
11. Lada Togliatti 43
12. Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk 39
13. Metallurg Novokuznetsk 36
14. Amur Khabarovsk 35

At a glance, we see that the eastern region, at the end of the scoreboard, has weaker teams, since it has fewer points than the last of the western region. Still, we can see that CSKA Moscow will hardly miss the championship.

How does the system work? Each team gives 60 matches in the regular season. Each team in the group gives 4 a match. So total 4x6 (since 7 teams have the group) = 24 matches. In addition, it gives 2 matches with each group of the other group in its region. That is, with other 7 teams in the other group, 2x7 = 14 matches. Still, he will fight once with each team of the other region, total 14 fights. Finally, it gives other 8 matches with some selected teams, so we have 24 + 14 + 14 + 8 = 60 matches altogether.

What about titles now? The first team in the standings (from both regions) takes the title of champion Russia. I think that CSKA will hardly lose this title. But there is also the Gagarin Cup (in honor of the astronaut). 2 teams will qualify from the regular season matches in the playoffs. And there, as is well known, other "battles" begin for the grand final. But we have a way to get there. From the image of the scoreboard we see 16-3 teams from each region claiming the qualification to the playoffs.

    Osagi Samuel-Tsikou-Bekao-Kantioglou

    Ismail Yuksek-Fred
