First let's explain what ATS means
ATS: Against The Spread
Now in 2-way handicap, some points advantage is given to one team, so that the odds are equal, usually close to 1.90.
For e.g. in tonight's Chicago-San Antonio match, San Antonio is favored in the simple victory, so an advantage (spread) of 3.5 points has been given to the Bulls. This means that if San Antonio wins by 4 points and above, the point is double, while if Chicago or San Antonio wins by 3 points, the point is ace. Usually in most companies the extension is included, only in OPAP this does not apply.
This system that try on is based on the fact that according to m.o. the teams close the year at around 50% against the handicap. Some are above this, others below this percentage. The list currently looks like this:
The goal of the system is:
1st against the teams that cover the handicap for at least 4 consecutive games (overall or home or away)
2nd to bet on the teams that have to cover 4 consecutive handicap games(total or on-site or off-site)
I will start with a bet of n units, if I succeed with the first one there will be a profit, otherwise the next time I will bet 2n, 4n and so on, until the team is covered and I have a profit.
I will consider the performance I play 1.91
For tonight, the teams that meet the criteria are:
Philadelphia 7-0
Orlando 5-0
Miami 4-0
Detroit 0-4
This is how I bet:
New York Knicks(+2) v Philadelphia 76ers-->1 @ 1.91
Denver Nuggets v Orlando Magic(+1)-->1 @ 1.91
Houston Rockets v Miami Heat (+3.5)-->1 @ 1.91
Detroit Pistons (+2.5) v New Orleans Hornets -->1 @ 1.91
X 10 units each
Attention, the bet is currently virtual
