I remember the racetrack phase in 2006.
They had accepted Georgiou to participate in the horse racing show while they had assigned him another review show on the days when he had no races (the blessed man was knowledgeable about the horse race track and even went to Markopoulos every horse race, in the VIP).
So the speed derby of the year took place on January 6, the Day of Lights.
Because it was very cold, I didn't go out and watched TV from home.
The speed derby was the 5th horse race and in the previous horse races commentary was given before and after the race by the three panelists, Georgiou and two others from ODIE.
So I observe the following phase:
Every time Georgiou wanted to make a comment of his own he was savagely snubbed by the other two - he had been sent to Coventry!
The speed race is over.
From what he said, Georgiou had played Christos Terz, a very strong horse, only he was a little too tall, the short distance of 1000 meters did not suit him. But Georgiou supported him on the panel.
The horse race is on.
The result is first the famous Koblat, second Kentis Town, third Christos Terz.
But the following also happened:
The winning Koblat breached the starting machine door and left a little ahead of the rest - gaining ground. But the observers didn't flag to cancel the start and return the horses to the starting line - they let them run.
So it became a big mess. In the hippodrome, there was cursing on both sides between the organizers of the race and also on TV with Georgiou.
Georgiou was ruining the world. But the other two disagreed. They said "oh baby, it was imperceptible...".
Georgiou became even more furious and said a conversation with Fufuto inside, which I don't remember exactly.
Commercials dropped and then in the rest of the horse races on the program there was no Georgiou on the panel.
But there was never again a horse racing show with Georgiou, ODIE cut him off.
This historical video unfortunately does not exist.
Someone was telling me he had it but lost it.
I have only spoken to him once.
It was after an AEK-Olympiakos cup match that the lights went out at 90'.
The result was 1-1 and nobody qualified as a result.
Georgiou was spoiling the world that it was Melissanidis who turned off the lights.
I manage to get a line and I say to him "look at Georgiou, he had 5 minutes of turnovers, you were left with 10 players and you would have eaten it like a bouyer - you are shouting because now when they repeat it, Olympiacos will win (won)".
I was the only Aektzis of those who called who did not hear from Georgiou on the train.
He said "thanks man, bye".
Now I see his last show was on May 9th and he didn't seem to have a problem.
Unfortunately it seems that a sudden deterioration in his health proved to be his undoing.
I really liked him.
