Although we are in the semi-finals, before the big Super Bowl (Final) I will give my estimates from now on both the 2 matches of the semi-finals and (when that time comes) also for the final.
In the semi-finals we have 3 of the 4 teams that had reached this far last year. I'll start with them San Francisco 49ers, who last year lost in the semi-finals to Los Angeles rams, who eventually won the title. This year San Francisco made it to the semifinals again and will face them Philadelphia Eagles, a historic NFL team. The stats are in favor of the Eagles as they have 14 wins so far and just 3 losses. On the other hand, the 49ers have one less win and one more loss. Of course, the difference is small. But a slight edge exists in favor of Philadelphia. Which is given as a slight favourite. The bunch is also playing at home, so.....I will bet in favor of the favorite in this match.
In the other game the Cincinnati Bengals, the team that reached the finals last year but lost to the Rams, are playing against the Kansas team, the Kansas City Chiefs. Until yesterday, Cincinnati was a small favorite in the match, today things have changed and Kansas City is given as a small favorite. The exact same semi-final happened last year as well, with the Tigers winning with a final score of 27-24. Again in Kansas the match had taken place, as this year, since the Chiefs have a lead with 14 wins and 3 losses (as does Philadelphia) while Cincinnati has 12 wins and 4 losses. I want to believe that there will be no repeat of last year and the Kansas team will be more serious this time, since they have to finally lift the cup at some point. I'm betting on the Chiefs in this match.
Betsson gives the Kansas match 50-50, with 1,92 odds on each team. However, he gives the Eagles' victory higher than everyone else, at 1,71. So I make a pair at Betsson with 3,28 odds and bet a 20.
