A game of no purpose takes place in Auckland where the Warriors welcome the Pelicans.
Worries cannot cross victory that reached the 5 consecutive. The last team to play in Auckland was the Rockets, who won by a wide 105-135, having essentially won the showdown since their first 17-38 win. From then on the game was procedural and everyone was just waiting for the whistle to end. Curry and Thompson's absences certainly cannot be made up for by others and newcomer Wiggins can't do it all by himself. In the last place, they hope for nothing and are just waiting for the year to end.
On the other hand, the Pelicans, despite being far behind in the standings with a counterattack lately, have covered considerable territory and are four wins away from 4th. Portland's recent win over the Blazers came relatively easily as they took the lead in scoring from the start, never losing it and gradually increasing the margin. The Blazers' last real reaction was at the start of the 8rd period but from then on the difference was steady at around 3 points or more. The attack is really unbeatable (126.6 pts in the last 5) and thanks to it gets valuable wins.
Summing up I think the Pelicans will get another win on a weaker opponent. I'll take the Over together as well Worries, despite their defeats, score well over 100 points.
The point I choose is ...Pelicans (-8.5 & Over 229.5 pts) in performance 2.45 at stoiximan.
