Inter - Atalanta

For the quarter-final phase of the Italian Cup, Inter welcomes Atalanta to the Giuseppe Meazza. A single match, in case of a draw, extra time will follow and if necessary, the procedure of penalties. The team that will qualify will face the winner of the Juventus - Lazio match.  

Inter in the previous phase of the cup she saw the exclusion pass before her eyes as in the 87th minute, they lost in Milan to Parma 1-0, but initially equalized and in extra time with a goal in the 110th minute, they won the qualification with 2-1.
On Saturday, for the championship, they prevailed, also with difficulty, over Cremonese 2-1 in a match that found itself behind in the score at 11' but then with two goals - one in each half - by Lautaro Martinez turned the match around and took the three points.
With this victory, Inter, taking advantage of the successes of Milan, Lazio and Roma, rose to 2nd place with 40 points but also minus 13 from 1st Napoli.

Atalanta hosted Spezia for the round of 16 of the Cup and had no problem getting the qualification by crushing their opponent 5-2. In the first half the Bergamo team did score 3 times but gave a lot of rights to the guests who scored 2 times but in the replay they got serious and scoring 2 more goals they got a wide victory.
On Saturday, for the 20th matchday of Serie A, Atalanta easily beat Sampdoria at home with 2-0. He opened the scoring shortly before the break and with another goal in the 57th minute "locked" the three points that brings them to 4th place, tied with 3rd Lazio, with 38 points and within the bay of the four that gives participation to the groups of the next Champions League.

Ambiguous matchup between two teams that have thrown their weight in the championship but will certainly not be indifferent in today's match. However, both are overflowing with quality and are expected to give us an open match with many phases and goals.
