Ionikos - Aris Ionikos failed to look competitive in Peristeri and found itself chasing double-digit differences from the first 10 minutes. There was a response early in the 2nd period where they equalized but that was it as they could not keep up with the pace of Peristeri who had the match over from the first minutes of the 3rd period. Mavrokephalidis and Parks were the only ones to stand out, while Hamilton took attempts but was very misguided and made several mistakes. Hawkins is most likely to compete.
On the other hand, Aris is doing much better than his most optimistic fan would have thought and is comfortably in the playoff positions. Despite several injuries, the team shows a very good face, especially in the last few games, and scores 4/5 having lost in the details only in Peristeri. Huggins also followed the mission after some time while Pack was left out.
In summary, I think that Ares is in better shape and is the favorite. Away from home, he doesn't have a large sample of matches (only 3) but if we remove the match against Paok, he was good in the other 2. Ionikos is not at his best, but he won the 2 matches he had to win at home, and one like this is also today's. They are a fighting team and if they lose today it will be difficult. Together with Horchler's Over who is no longer the player of the first matches and now has one of the leading roles for his team.
