UFC Fight Night 37 will take place at the Cotai Arena in Macau, China. As you can see, there will be poles of Asian fighters and finalists for the Chinese Ultimate Fighter, hosted by Chinese fighter and actor Cung Le and coached by Tiequan Zhang for Sky Dragons and Hailin Ao for Flying Lions. Let's go see all the games.
Dong Hyun Kim vs. John Hathaway
In the most important fight of the day we will see two very promising fighters. Kim is the strongest and tallest fighter. However, he does not have much endurance and because the race is 5 rounds he will have a serious fatigue problem if he does not win in the first 3 rounds. Hathaway has a chance to win the upright battle if he does not get dragged to the ground quickly. It is difficult for Kim to endure 5 rounds because he loses many kilos in the weighing and you dehydrate in the race.
Wang Sei vs. Lipeng Zhang
They are the finalists of the welterweight category. Sei is the most popular and complete fighter. Zhang is not very good at anything. In standing battle especially he is very bad in terms of technique. But it has power and can push opponents into the wall in order to bring them down to the ground and weigh them down like a gorilla.
Jianping Yang vs Guangyou Ning
Deferred due to injury
Matt Mitrione vs. Shawn Jordan
If the battle goes to the ground Jordan will be able to do whatever Mitrione wants. In the uprising, however, I give the advantage to Mitrione because Jordan receives many blows. But because Mitrione has recently stepped on it from a battle on the ground, he will do his best to stay upright. His heavy and strong hands can knock out Jordan.
Hatsu Hioki vs. Ivan Menjivar
Complete and experienced fighters. Hioki with 3 consecutive defeats wants to get back on a winning course and will probably succeed. He will have a huge advantage in height and arm extension which means he will be able to find a target from a distance. Menjivar was competing in a lighter category. However, with two consecutive defeats and difficulty in losing weight, he decided to move up the category. Towards fighters with a bigger body type than he is used to, he will hardly be able to achieve anything better.
Yui Chul Nam Kazuki Tokudome
Nam looks like a very impressive fighter in the videos I found because he is constantly attacking. Tokudome seems unable to put up with such fighters who do not stop at all. It is very likely that Nam will win by knockout.
Nam Phan vs. Vaughan Lee
Ambiguous fight by two mediocre fighters. The loser will logically say goodbye to us. Lee will be better on the ground, but if they stay upright, which I do not think, Phan will have a slight advantage.
Zak Cummings vs Albero Mina
Cummings has faced very good opponents in his career so far. He did not do very well in the American Ultimate Fighter but in his one and only appearance at the ufc he impressed with quick submission. Mina has a black belt in judo and brazilian Jiu jitsu and is undefeated. He is not young so you no longer consider him a new talent and he usually prefers to help other fighters prepare for fights instead of fighting.
The match was canceled because Cummings was overweight.
Albert Cheng vs Anying Wang
Two fighters of a fairly low level who were probably put in to fill the program of the fights. Cheng prefers the ground, Wang prefers the upright battle, so logically where the battle is led, the winner will be the one who has the advantage.
Jumableke Tuerxun vs. Mark Eddiva
Two undefeated fighters and champions in small tournaments. From the few videos I saw I understand that the battle will be judged on the ground, because they are not very good at standing battle. Tuerxun was competing in a lighter class and I do not know why he decided to go up in the weight class for the ufc. Usually category changes when they fail to win. Eddiva on the other hand has been fighting for over 3 years.
