We leave China's Macau and go to London England for the next ufc fight night.
This racing card is more important than the Chinese because it has better fighters, better known and the winner of the last race will become the next contender of the title in the light heavyweight category.
Alexander Gustafsson v Jimi Manuwa
Gustafson shook the whole world when he was famously in front of the champion. He was the only one who was able to fight with the champion and put him down, even for a while and in the upright fight he threw nearly the same blows. But this fight was by far the best appearance in the cage. All his other fights showed us a moderate fighter, so we do not know who Gustafson will appear in the next fight. THE Manuwa is so far unbeaten in mixed martial arts with a lot of knockout. But he has a great weakness because he throws very strong punches tired after two rounds, so if he does not reach his goal in the first two rounds he will lose the fight.
Michael Johnson in Melvin Guillard
Johnson is a more technical striker and has a good takedown defense so it will be very difficult for Guillard to fight him, Guillard may be a little faster than Johnson in the foot movement, but that does not seem to play a very important role because Johnson will find the target more often
Brad Pickett in Neil Seery
Here we have a clear favorite, Pickett who has faced very good fighters. His opponent will make his first appearance at the ufc and the fact that he has recently been notified of this fight does not help him at all. The only doubt about Pikket in this show is his resistance to the flyweight category, because to date we have only seen him in the bantamweight category.
Gunnar Nelson in Omari Akhmedov
Nelson is inactive for one year because of a knee injury, which we do not know if he left him a wound. But he is one of the new talents and he has a lot of future ahead of him. In addition to fights mma has also shown his brazilian Jiu jitsu skills in the ADCC organization and improves his fight by going to various coaches. Aghmedov in his career so far has not faced a better opponent but we do not know how good his resilience will be in such a difficult battle.
Cyrille Diabate in Ilir Latifi
Diabate has long limbs that help him hit opponents from a distance and drown them on the ground, his only drawback is his age (40 years old). Lati fi is the best wrestler of the match but I doubt he has the speed for to catch and fight Diabate.
Luke Barnatt in Mats Nilsson
Barnett as you can see from the photo is very tall. He is a good boxer, he throws some good knees when he has his opponent crushed and he is good on the ground. Nilsson makes his UFC debut and prefers the ground. In the small tournaments he has faced remarkable fighters but here he will have to work hard to hit Barnett, unless he takes the stick with him in the photo.
Davey Grant in Roland Delorme
An ambiguous fight by two fighters who prefer to fight on the ground, so we will see them rolling until someone makes the fatal mistake and submits. In the standing battle Grant is slightly better but he does not play a big role because the battle will be judged under the duvets.
Danny Mitchell in Igor Araujo
Araujo is a more experienced fighter, he has already made his first successful appearance in the ufc and the last time he lost a fight was October 2010. Mitchell in the last 2 fights performed 2 successful submissions and always tries to finish the fight before reaching a decision of the judges but with his aggression he receives many blows.
Louis Gaudinot in Phil Harris
I expect Gaudinot's fight to be stronger than Harris's judo. On the ground they are about equal. In the uprising battle Gaudinot accepts the punches more painlessly and gives more kicks. But he has only played once in the last year and a half and he can look rusty.
Brad Scott in Claudio Henrique Da Silva
Scott is by far the best in standing battle, he is young and the older you get the better. He will be in his country for this fight as an Englishman but on the ground he is not very good. The key in this battle will be the takedown defense. Usually European fighters are not good at fighting. Americans have been practicing wrestling since school age. In Europe, however, it is not a popular sport at all. So Scott may have a hard time keeping the battle going. On the ground, Da Silva has the advantage and if he manages to fight Scott, he will defeat him.
