Bridgestone improves dramatically
The high temperatures that eventually prevailed on the LeMans circuit last weekend unjustly caused concern to most riders. You have seen anxiety about whether the unique tire provider at GP Bridgestone could cope with temperatures at 48ºC. However, the soft eras that chose almost the big-group band, went well in the 28 rounds.
Bridgestone's Tire Development Manager, Tohru Ubukata, was absolutely satisfied because the weather forecast was vague and the French track was slippery on its own. It was a huge challenge for the tire company this race as it would be the hardest test of the new asymmetric rear tire syllable.
And the only fact that Nicky Hayden made his fastest time on the 20 round leaves no room for any comment.
