In the wake of the tragic death of Shoya Tomizawa in Misano, there were several reactions. But the most resounding was Casey Stoner, who accused the type of asphalt and the artificial grass, which is now widely used on the slopes. On the one hand, this asphalt layer gives an illusion of incredible hold, which clearly does not apply, making the riders overcome themselves and tires, thus losing their adhesion, and so we have several falls, especially in the test, with its tragic fall Tomizawa to seal this fact. On the other hand, the artificial grass is impressively beautiful, but on the other it leaves no mark on the tire. So after a painless exit the rider thinks everything is as before, and continues at the same pace. If the grass was natural, there would definitely be an effect of either soil or grass on the tire and so the riders would not overdo it to achieve the impossible, Stoner rightly argues, and furthermore says that not only this but many other riders have touched this issue.
Response to Stoner, he gave franc Uncini, the head of the World Championship Organizing Authority MotoGP, saying a bit, that the Stoner and not only has he never raised such a subject. He claims that this issue is raised by her Formula1 and the four wheels in general, wondered how the Australian is spreading such rumors. On the other hand, he publicly called the Rider Security Committee, which Valentino Rossi is about to take.
