At the other end of the Atlantic, the world's only MotoGP championship is already at Indianapolis's only track. A track created in the beginning of the last century and since then countless moments of enjoyment and adrenaline was given to the lovers of motoring. Now the question is who can surprise us and there are many suitors for it.
Repsol Honda's first and best Casey Stoner. Perhaps the fastest and fastest rider this season, proves a fight with the race that really matters in the title race. Undeniably he is the man of the year, after he has managed to break one record after another in his first year with the BigH factory. The absolute transfer of the summer has been proven so far, and has already gained a clear lead over the title, as in every match it is almost endlessly in front of all its competitors. All that the others want, first and best Jorge Lorenzo is a drop-drop to not score, as they divide 32 whole points.
Jorge Lorenzo, with a wrong choice in his tires, missed any chance of approaching the Australian in the Czech race and is now at a disadvantage. Although his bike, the factory MAXXX has almost touched the levels of the RCV failed to convert this figure into points. He also feels ever closer to him, Andrea Dovizioso (Repsol Honda), just 1 points behind him. The Italian, with yet another amazing performance, slowly manages to make a difference with last year's champion and looks ready to steal his second place.
The phenomenon he listens to in Valentino Rossi does not remind the 9 times of a champion of previous years. His transcription into Ducati, though it has been the realization of the company's wildest marketing dream, has not yet produced a positive result. We say a positive result as a rider of his own range with a motorcycle like GP11 ... but we were promised. Something on the front, something frame (!), Arrangements, are very late to bring a decent look (we are far from talking about a plaid flag). The technical staff tries, Rossi tries but his co-star Nicky Hayden looks more stable. Something is wrong in the team.
Dani Pedrosa, Honda's favorite child and the man who claims this year's most unlucky title, gave one to the heart with milk and nothing left. In the Czech Republic he managed to commit suicide as he came from great appearances, after his return from his injury, behaved immature, fell and missed his great opportunity. Now in fifth place 108, all grades behind Stoner only hopes for good performances and the higher he anticipates. It is in a desperate form and everyone knows about it and they are "afraid".
Someone else who is "afraid" but for different reasons is Marco Simonceli, who has finally seen a podium in the Czech Republic. In Italy and America it is an idol, but in the paddocks there is still a different situation, away and beloved one thing. His appearances with San Carlo Honda Gresini are monumental in hopes. His monumental falls, however, keep him far from the first places (8 in the rankings) without depriving him of his appeal to the pole. In Indianapolis has already shown his teeth and hopes for something good! Let's face it.
The Americans of the company now, Ben Spies (Yamaha), Nicky Hayden (Ducati) and Colin Edwards (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) will once again be off-road champions as they are headquartered. Inside the track, Spies has a lead over the others, but it is also low.
In conclusion, it is almost certain that Repsol Honda will be present in two of the three positions, with Stoner and Pedrosa ahead, while Lorenzo will not be in a hurry, and will have a huge chance for something better than third. Dovizioso and Simonceli are close to the top, while Rossi needs a miracle. It is, however, worthwhile to enjoy this fight too!
