FOX International Channels (FIC) announced that the SuperBowl XLVIII will be LIVE from its channels across Europe for the first time. The American Football Championship (NFL) final will reach more than 12 million homes via the FOX Sports channel in Italy, the Netherlands, Turkey and Cyprus and the FOX channel in Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia Slovenia and Malta. 48ο Super Bowl, among the National Football Conference (NFC) Seattle Seahawks and the American Football Conference champions (AFC) Denver Broncos, will be held at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey, on Sunday 2 February 2014, with live pan-European broadcasting starting half an hour after midnight (at 00: 30) and starting the race at 1.30.
This is the first time the Super Bowl is broadcast LIVE from the FIC channels in Europe and is another step in the strategic direction of FOX and its commitment to displaying the best sports and entertainment content. Thanks to the worldwide coverage of FOX Sports and FOX channels, NFL fans in Europe will have the chance to enjoy the Super Bowl live in an exclusive US production of FOX, which includes a description of the fight from Joe Buck and stage analysis by Troy Aikman (member of the NFL "Hall Of Fame") along with the Super Bowl television broadcast, as well as live coverage of the pitch by Pam Oliver and Erin Andrews.
Super Bowl is the most important television program with the largest viewing on American television, which receives considerable publicity from the media of the whole planet. It is a global television phenomenon that combines sports with show business.
