Panathinaikos - Ionikos (Panathinaikos to score in both halves) 
For the first matchday of the Greek Super League, Panathinaikos welcomes Ionikos to "Apostolos Nikolaidis".
Last year was absolutely successful for Panathinaikos, they finished 4th and returned to Europe after five years, while also winning the Cup returning to the headlines after 8 years.

However, he did not start the year well, for the 3rd qualifying round of the Conference League, he faced Slavia and against luck and refereeing, and with the Czechs more competitively ready, he was left out of Europe early on. In the first match in Prague, he was defeated 2-0, while in the second leg he was good in the first 60', a period in which he led 1-0 while he had great opportunities for more goals, but in the last half hour he ran out of strength and just before the final, he equalized for final 1-1.
Ionikos, although a newcomer, was the pleasant surprise of last season. No it was just easily saved and without stress but in the play outs, despite being indifferent, he took seriously the extra process of the championship and with a record of 6 wins and 1 draw in 7 matches ended first in the group and 7 in total in the championship.
In relation to last year's roster, of course Dimitris Spanos remained in the technical leadership of the club, who is largely credited for his successful course, while in terms of transfer, he made quite remarkable moves and theoretically they will strengthen him even more.
In the pre-season friendlies in 6 matches, he had just one draw and 5 defeats.
Panathinaikos is a big favorite in the match, as apart from the fact that it excels in quality, it is more competitively ready. Ionikos will not be an easy opponent for anyone again this year, but the "greens" in front of their audience will enter strongly from the beginning for an easy victory.
