Although Federer fun, I always try to be objective in what I choose and here any result other than the back-to-back conquest of Djoko, would be a big surprise. Unfortunately I could not write last week about the victories of Djoko (2,3) and Nishikori (4), which not only did I see, but I practically prefaced the 2nd one a week earlier in the Kuala Lumbur tournament and they finally came out.
But let's go to the Masters here and I will say briefly why Djoko is a huge favorite.
1) Asian tournaments are very special and in recent years here Djoko dominates and only he while sometimes Murray makes the surprise. Nishikori on the other hand is the one who gives everything for the Tokyo Cup while in China he is not so strong. But the important thing is that Nadal and Federer are untitled in them !!!
2) Djoko after the summer patatrak and 2 Masters there and Us Open then showed again in Beijing who is the boss and I expect the same here. But here we have to see the reason for his retreat in the summer and this was due to the birth of his child that made him stay almost 1 month after Wimbledon outside training. So I think that now it has come to top rhythm for 2 latest Masters and TOP8 in London.
3) Most importantly, all of his teammates are in a very modest situation.
Nadal comes after 4his absence for a month and has not shown how he can directly counter it. Verdych ate cold-water a few days ago and their difference is enormous. Wawrinka and Ferrer are at a lower level than the beginning of the season and can not be counted as opponents who can cope with it. Murray, who is the only one who could have suffered many defeats from Djoko lately with the most recent in Beijing, easily, while all the others over time can not cope with him.
So it is almost certain that DJoko will easily or hardly win the season and if he gets to the final he will have difficulty with any opponent if found
So now all the money will be the semifinals, where there can be an opponent who can kill him, since there are the players who have made it harder this year and they are Dimitrov, Nishikori and of course Federer.
The Bulgarian in the previous tournament was not good and lost easily from the Serb, showing that he can not beat him at the moment. On the other hand, Nishikori after 2 successive conquests in Kuala Lumbur and Tokyo are bound to be exhausted and the many problems he has shown despite conquest will hardly let him go ahead and expect to leave early.
The only opponent who can stand against him is the Swiss, but his situation is a question mark, because in the Davis Cup, on a surface he loves, he did not go well and I think the preface now shows the way for the Serb. If we take into account that Federer has lost the last 2 years early, then suffering another defeat is not unlikely.
So with all of this 2,2 I think it makes sense for good and I will hardly see a surprise I think in Shanghai where Djoko 2012 and 2013 were the winner !!!
