As in the first tournament with Federer in Basel, so here in Valencia there is a special relationship between David Ferrer and the tournament.
The Spanish player is practically from the Valencia region and if born a little more out in Alicante, he has lived in Valencia for many years and is the region's favorite tennis player. Indeed, besides being insectified, it has a special relationship with the tournament as well, since it is the founder and its owner. So he plays in his city, but also in his own tournament.
This partly explains his results here since the last 4 years have been found 3 times in final and 1 time in semi-final, with 2 conquests from 2010 up to today. In the past he won 2008 again while 2005 arrived at the final !!!
The only difference with previous years is that the tournament did not have this year's glory since many Spanish players played, as opposed to this year when many big names came to battle to enter the final 8 of London. So here, besides Ferrer, is Murray, Berdych (last week's 2 winners), but also Anderson, Simon, Youzhny, Kohlschreiber, Fognini.
But the big difference is that Ferrer is battling even with Murray-Berdych, so he wants not only to win the 500 points but also to leave 2 out of place.
Originally I wanted to play 5 but I saw this 1,83 1 period and bread is here.
You can not be sure with Ferrer, and 8 / 10 is in danger, but when his group is the only one directly interested, the others will be walking.
Big names in his band, Verdy, Bautista Agut and Youzhny, but something tells me that 2 Spaniards will not close the London door to their compatriot. The only one that can best spoil the home party is last year's Youzhny owner who is in a modest form.
Can the value of the price in other tournaments not be great, but here in Valencia and respecting the proportions of the London goal, I think 1,83 is a gift.
