3o and last mini-series game between San Francisco Giants and Atlanta Braves.
The Braves took the first two games of the series, dominating them with the same 1-4 score and tonight they want to sweep the turn on their way to the postseason.
The Giants show that they have cast a white towel in the season and have completed 10 with losing streak. Tonight they will start with Derek Holland (7-8 3.54 ERA) in the mound, who is doing nice this year, but the big problem for the Giants is on the aggressive side since it is one of the weakest teams in the hitting championship in scoring. Indicative that they failed to score more than 3 runs on 9 from their last 10 races.
The Braves, on the other hand, lead the NL East Division and are galloping towards the playoffs, having 5 wins in the last six and tonight they will seek to sweep the series, taking revenge on the Giants for the sweep they received at their home in early May. On the embankment they raise their most stable pitcher of the season Anibal Sanchez (6-5 3.09 ERA), who is doing very well on the road with 5-2 and 3.07 ERA. Sanchez is excellent against the Giants with 4-1 and 2.13 ERA, while he has done even more famously at the AT&T Park of the Giants, where in 3 starts, he is 3-0 with only 0.36 ERA.
The Braves dominate all of the Giants (aggressive, defensive and pitching) and are the only ones that have a real motivation. Holland may be fairly stable this year, but the weak aggressive Giants will hardly find a big score against Anibal Sanchez and threaten the Braves from whom I expect to win another game with a rather low score, just like the previous two series.
