Sassuolo - Atalanta

For the 21st matchday of the Italian Serie A, Sassuolo welcomes Atalanta to the Mapei Stadium.  

Sassuolo was amazing the previous matchday, winning 5-2 at the San Siro in Milan. He took full advantage of every defensive weakness of the hosts and reached an emphatic victory, in the first 21' minutes he converted the two opportunities he created into goals, he accepted the reduction of the score in the 24' but a little later he found a third goal. In the second half, he continued at the same pace, scoring two more goals to bring Milan down in the 81st minute and shape the final result.
So Sassuolo returned to winning ways after 8 matches, 2 draws and 6 defeats, which gave them a big breath of fresh air and after 18 matches it is in 16th place with 20 points and plus 7 from the danger zone.

Atalanta, without charging particularly, prevailed last week in Bergamo, Sampdoria with 2-0. It was a fair and easy victory as they were better than their opponent, defensively they risked little and with the quality they possess offensively they found a goal in each half and took the three points.
With this victory, Atalanta reached 38 points and is tied for 3rd place with Lazio and Milan, in the minus 2 from the 2nd Inter and the plus 1 from the 6th Roma in the exciting battle of the four that gives participation in the groups of the next Champions League.
Midweek, Atalanta was defeated for the cup in Milan by Inter 1-0 and was eliminated from the rest of the competition.

Sassuolo returned to winning ways in an impressive way and wants a similar continuation tonight in order to go up in the standings and get rid of any relegation scenarios. Atalanta, for its part, wants the victory because every loss of points will now count in the battle for the top four. Both play open football, score and concede goals with ease and I reasonably expect a high-scoring encounter.
