The first three "turns" of the Eurobasket group stage have been completed and the first conclusions have been drawn. Extremely positive conclusions for our National team, not so much because it has started with three victories, but mainly because we see a positive aura, something ρο undefined (I can not put it differently), that allows us to dream.
I have no special knowledge of basketball, so I can not give you technical analysis and details. But I watch the tournament with interest, I watch as many games as I can and sometimes that is more useful. Many times the knower is "lost" in analyzes upon analyzes and is unable to see the simple, the obvious… The fact that our representative band has perhaps the most complete roster of all time (in quality, experience, depth, ambition) is more or less known. The issue was to find the right "chemistry" on the floor and to have a good atmosphere in the locker room. And so far I like what I see…
Of course we can lose to Slovenia today. I will not change a word of what I have written! After all, everyone is entitled to a bad day. I do not think we will lose, but I also catch this scenario. And even at 3η position of the group to end, again I'm not afraid, we will find the edge. I have not seen a group of "beasts" say "aman, we can not oppose them", as Spain existed in the recent past. This does not mean that I find it easy to reach the semifinals or the final! There are many teams with an excellent roster and there will be matches in the "crosses" of the groups (or in the quarterfinals) that will be judged in detail and the good day of the players - "barometer" for each team.
Let's see what happens in the four groups and we have time for the rest!
In Group A France will logically be first, but from there on down it becomes a waste. Much will be judged tonight in Finland - Bosnia and Poland - Israel, with Russia being the negative surprise and hoping for only one miracle.
In Group B a lot of wood falls between the "beasts". The Serbs are one level higher. I have been impressed by the Turks, I did not expect Italy - Germany to win. I expected the Italians to be strong, they have the best roster in their recent history as well I was waiting for the Spaniards in the mess I see them. There is also the issue of a coach, I think…
In our group, everything will be judged by the game of our National Team with Slovenia tonight. If we win we are first, if we lose up to 4 points second, if we lose from 5 and over third. Logically, the series will be Greece - Croatia - Slovenia. From there, FYROM (Skopje is a simple city, like Athens) and Georgia will be "slaughtered" for a place in the "16", with the Georgians wanting a difference of 4 points or more.
In the fourth and weakest group of the tournament, we have a large percentage of the 4th team (Lithuania, Belgium, Latvia, Czech Republic), but not the positions. The victory of the Belgians against Lithuania complicated things and we will have to wait for tonight Belgium - Czech Republic which may judge a lot.
