The last week went very well in tennis as Berdych and Marley won the tournaments in Stockholm and Vienna respectively. Although 2 was back with a set in the finals they made the overturning and now gained a lead in the finals for London.
This week we have two 500s tournaments in Valencia and Basel with all the top tennis players (excluding Djokovic) to be present at the 2 tournaments.
In Basel we have three tennis players from Top4 (Federer, Nadal and Babrinka) as well as Rowic and Dimitrov.
Nadal, after his 3 month absence in the summer, returned to Beijing where he lost in the quarterfinals by Klizan. In the next tournament in Shanghai he lost in his first match by his compatriot Klizan. Last week he faced appendicitis and the next month he will need to do surgery and so is doubtful about London.
In Basel, though not close to the closed loop, he had an easy draw and has all the podiums to reach the semifinals. In the 1 round he will face Italian Bolle (NO75) which is a classic dump. In the last game on a hard surface the Italian lost to 1 in Vienna with 2-1 from Kamke, lost to Shanghai's qualifiers from Gojovskik, while in Shenzhen he beat 1 in the round of Emden to lose Sappi with 2-0. In the qualifiers in Basel he won Paul and Maurer on 3 sets Kd shows in fair condition lately.
In their previous 3 games, Nadal has won as many wins by losing only one set in Rotterdam 2009.
Nadal, in a closed court, faces many problems with tennis players with good service and heavy blows. Bolle does not have any of the two and prefers to play big rallies which are butter in Spanish bread.
I will take the 3,5 handicap in the games I find in the game and I think Nadal will make an easy win.
