Union Berlin – 1. FSV Mainz 05 For the 19th matchday of the German Bundesliga, Union Berlin welcomes Mainz to the Stadion an der Alten Försterei.

Mainz last Saturday achieved her first win of the new year, and after 6 races, crushed Bochum at home 5-2. He took the lead in the 2nd minute and made a joke in the first 45 minutes, leading 3-0 in that one. He also made it 4-0 in the 57' and then he relaxed too much and almost paid for it as in the 72' the visiting team had reduced 4-2, in the 85' he avoided a third goal and finally calmed down only after the 5-2 from a counterattack in the 87' .
Mainz with this victory reached 23 points and climbed to 11th place in the standings, on plus 7 above 16th Bochum and the position of the classification games for the stay.
Midweek, however, it could not look competitive in the reception of Bayern for the cup, it was easily defeated 4-0 and was eliminated from the rest of the competition.
Union is making an amazing run this season and is reaching the point that if they win today they will climb to the top of the league! Mainz, for its part, certainly does not impress that much, but away from home it is competitive and scores easily. The home team are logical favorites...but for fear of surprise I prefer to focus on the many goals!
