Continuation of the 1st match of the 2nd round of the euroleague with Villeurbanne hosting Efes.
From defeat with hands down comes Villeurbanne where it lasted only 10 minutes in the City against Fener. 23-13 and 21-10 the individual scores in the 2nd and 3rd period and one realizes that the final 81-59 came completely normal. The only thing that worked well once again was the three-pointer (10/21 47.6%) but the desperate 33% in two-pointers and 22 errors were condemning in the final outcome of the match. Fal's absence was more than noticeable as the whole team game relies on him. Logically, in this match we will see for the first time the newly acquired Walton, who is in the team for a few days while Fal will be absent.
On the other hand, Efes could not stand the latter and in the end lost to Real. The match started well and in fact at half time it had a difference of 6 points (37-31) in its favor. As time went on, however, Real seemed stronger and took the victory. Larkin for another match was bad staying at 7 points with bad statistics. Misic was the only one who tried harder, scoring 16 points, but in general he was also unlucky while the rest ranged at moderate levels. Plays is logically absent from today.
Summing up I think the absence of the Fal is crucial and Villeurbanne loses both in defense and attack. Efes is clearly more experienced in the first place as it usually plays better abroad. Along with the Over as the 2 teams play fast, shoot a lot and can verify the predictions.
The point I choose is ... Effects (-4.5 & Over 152.5 pts) in performance 2.74 at stoiximan.
